Angie Johnson has built her career guiding organizations through scale, transformation, and complexity. From leading HR as a team of one to partnering with private equity boards on multimillion-dollar restructuring, her hallmark is creating order, clarity, and impact in high-pressure environments. Known for “disassembling and rebuilding the plane while it’s flying,” Angie has repeatedly delivered results where stability and speed mattered most.
She began in the Executvie Recruiting world where she hired physicans for Lum tenens assignments internationally, moved to HR of one, and eventually to franchise and staffing world, where she scaled a call center from 100 to 300 employees in just 12 months, expanded operations from one contract to five, and built a culture that retained talent even under pressure. At Spherion Intermountain West, she helped grow the office from just under $3M to over $7M annually, contributing to $29M in revenue across five locations. Along the way, she became more than a staffing leader — she became a trusted HR consultant, helping clients with handbooks, cost optimization, forecasting, and compliance.
Angie was then recruited to InMoment, a global SaaS and PE-backed company, to drive transformation and cost optimization. Within her first year, she delivered $15M in savings through restructuring and workforce strategy. Elevated to Global Head of HR, she led M&A integration, implemented the company’s first performance management system linking pay to performance, launched employee resource groups, and built professional development programs that awarded over $20K in scholarships and resulted in 99 internal promotions in a single year.
Through her work with PE firms, Angie recognized a gap: cost-cutting often left employees in stretch roles without the expertise or oversight they needed to succeed. Companies didn’t require another full-time executive — they needed fractional executive guidance at critical moments.
